The “FASD Platform” began with a simple question: why is there still so little discussion in Lithuania about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)—one of the most common, yet preventable, developmental disorders? Seeking answers, we began gathering and sharing information, while drawing attention to this issue.
Our mission is to raise public awareness about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), their causes, and their impact on a child’s development, by disseminating clear, science-based information and supporting the making of responsible decisions.
Our vision is a society that understands the risks associated with FASD—a society where alcohol is avoided both when planning a pregnancy and during pregnancy itself, with an awareness of the role both prospective parents play in a child’s health.
