EUFASD Alliance welcomes the Polish FASada Diagnostic and Consultation Point. The organization was established by the Foundation of Adoptive Families in Warsaw in response to the needs of families raising children after prenatal exposure to alcohol.

The FASada Diagnostic and Consultation Point was established by the Foundation of Adoptive Families in Warsaw in response to the needs of families raising children after prenatal exposure to alcohol. For 22 years over 1,450 newborns and infants have been provided with care, 30% of whom are children after prenatal exposure to alcohol. The center has developed its own model of development stimulation and care for children with FASD. Training and workshops with the participation of the FASady Team includes among other things:

    • For children with suspected FASD - diagnosis, development stimulation, medical care.
    • A forum for parents of FAScinating children - for adoptive and foster parents.
    • Training on therapeutic options for children diagnosed with FASD.
    • Supporting the development of children with FASD with specific learning problems.

Our strengths include practice in the field of recognizing FASD in very young children and the personal experience of adoptive parents raising children with FAS/FASD who are members of our Team.
